Bill needs to have the cyst on his vocal chord surgically removed. Rumor has it the surgery will take place on Monday, but we'll see.
Here's the translation of Bill's doctors notes that the UK fans stumbled across:

Berlin, 21.03.08
Specialist certificate for submission at Gothaer Insurance.
Mr. Bill Kaulitz, born 01.09.1989, is under my specialist care.
Based on a significant vocal problem, the European tour must be interrupted. Since then, the patient is being treated by me with maximum conservative therapy (medicinal, inhalation) and absolute vocal silence.
Within Mr. Kaulitz lies a clear organ thickening in front of the middle-third of the left vocal fold, which makes the closing of the vocal fold impossible and blocks the vibration. The song tones break away from the central position and the speaking voice is rough.
There is thickening on an intracordal vocal fold cyst with secondary epithelium thickening and rising.
The problem is such that the force of collision of the vocal folds with the vibrations is not distributed over a smooth vocal surface, but is concentrated in the zone of the thickening. Because of the concentration of force in this area, short-term straining of the voice would lead to further swelling of the tissue and epithelium, the closing of the vocal chords to deteriorate further and the hoarseness to increase.
Mr. Kaulitz is considering a phonosurgical operation in which the cyst will be sensitively removed and the edge of the vocal folds reconstructed in plastic. A post-operation period of vocal silence of 10 days and vocal rehabilitation of about 3 weeks is calculated.
From specialist perspective, a continuation of the tour is presently not recommended under any circumstances.
For queries at any time, I stand at your disposal.

Ask Tokio Hotel (not really)
Found this little interview. It's pretty cute!
Hitkrant nr.13: Tokio hotel i gonna solve all your problems!
Tokio hotel is gonna solve all your problems!
Are you in love with Bill and don’t know what to do? Or do want the same hair as Tom? The boys themselves give the solution to the problems of there fans.
Problem 1
I am in love with Bill, but will probably never meet him.
Bill: O, I don’t know what to say to this. If you really are in love with me you should….(Bill is thinking) Maybe you should come to one of our concerts and maybe I’ll see you there then.
Tom: I actually wanna say something to this: you should be in love with me. Then it will all be alright!
Bill: Maybe you should just think to yourself that I am just a normal guy like any other. Does that heal a little bit of your broken heart?
Problem 2
I am a Tokio hotel fan and my class mates that are not tease me about it.
Bill: I think you just shouldn’t respond to it and just take it.
Tom: Bill and I where also teased in school by people that hated us and that almost didn’t influence us. For that matter, I am actually proud of the fact that I wasn’t like the rest of the class. Bill and I thought it was more important to do other stuff, we didn’t wanted to be wannabees. Being teased can clearly also have a positive effect. Just look at us.
Problem 3
My parents won’t let me go to a Tokio hotel concert!
All four together: That is bullshit!
Tom: Our parents always allowed us to go to concerts. I was nine when I went to my first live concert and think everyone should have that freedom.
Bill: It is also stupid to forbid something like that, cause fans will eventually find a way to go to the concert.
Georg: The best is just to let your children free in this. To let them decide if they wanna go to a concert or not.
Tom: You know what I want? I wanna talk with the parents of our fans about this. Just give me there addresses, I will solve this.
Gustav: Exactly, just let them contact us, we will arrange something.
Problem 4
I want the same hair as Tom, how do I do that?
Georg: O, that is difficult!
Tom: And is even right for once. I have really smooth hair from myself and it is costing me a lot of trouble to keep it up every day. For one thing, you have to turn it again every day and I have a special spray to keep it well. What’s in it, I won’t tell, just know that I have been working on it in my little laboratory for hours (laughs). At least it is specially made for me and it is an awful lot of work. How long do I have it this way?
Georg: Just smell it, then you know!
Tom: I think about ten or eleven years
Problem 5
I am not allowed to hang Tokio hotel posters in my room
Bill: I used to have my room filled with it.
Tom: Exactly, he even had posters of me. Then he would make pictures of me and have them printed large and hang them on his wall.
Bill: Ach, halt die klappe! (Shut up!) That is not true…but I think everyone should have been fan of someone in there lives, meaning you also should have your room filled with posters. As a parent you should just allow that. They have been fan of someone too in there lives, right? I always used to love listening to the music of my favourite band in my room.
Tom: Used to? He still does that!
Problem 6
Where can I buy the cool clothes the boys wear?
Tom: If you wanna look like Georg, all you have to do isn’t wash yourself for a month and then your done.
Georg: For example, yes.
Tom: And Bill? You really don’t wanna look like that, do you?
Bill: I always buy my clothes at second hand stores, that’s where you can get the most awesome clothes. So my tip is looking there if you want my look.
Problem 7
I feel bad because Gustav and Georg get less attention then Bill and Tom
Tom: Do you know why that is? They talk less and are more quiet then Bill and me. It would also be bad if they start talking more, cause they just don’t know how to say what they mean. Have you ever heard these two talk German? It is just awful. There English is dramatic but there German is actually just as bad!
Bill: Georg and Gustav are just more quiet and don’t look for the attention. We have gotten used to it, it’s just how it goes.
Georg: I also feel comfortable with it and…(long pause),
Bill: That’s all he can say
Gustav: He is just using our typical answer: I feel comfortable with it.
Problem 8
I would love to talk to Tokio hotel but I don’t know German
Bill: You can also talk English to us. Now we can speak it just a little.
Tom: We know just enough to talk to fans….
Bill: …and make short conversations
Tom: We actually know just enough
Bill: But we are working on improving it. We are going more often to America and England now so it is easier if you can speak the language. I hope we will get it soon.

Tom, Gustav, and Georg appeared moments before the show that Bill was too sick to perform and was already on a flight back to Germany to seek medical attention. Fans were shocked, perhaps a little pissed, but everyone is showing their support and concern for Bill.

Interview on the 1000 Hotels Tour
Friday 11pm in Esh sur Alzette, south of Luxemburg in one of the four double decker-Nightliners, those aerodynamic Tourbus bungalows on wheels: Upstairs for sleeping, downstairs for living, with a wooden sitting corner with sterio system, Sony-Playstation, Microwave, fridges. The home of the german rock phenomenon Tokio Hotel – Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg. The four are outpowered but everything else but tired. On the table in frot of them: Coke, chips, pizza. 20 minutes behind them(this phrase doesn’t make any sense in german aswell): their fourth gig of their completely booked out(meaning sg. Like busy schedule) europe tour. 24 concerts in 15 countries, 15 000 kilometers in four and a half weeks with a 60 people straong crew in six trucks and four busses. That is impressing.
First of all, congratulations to your A-degree, Bill and Tom! Mittlere Reife(see thread about their school degree for info) with a 1.8 grade, but such a grade only works at a distance learning school, right? There you can cheat easily...
Tom: That would be great. Unfortunately only the studying was allowed to be done from a distance. The exams were completely official, with such a examinator, who was staring at our sheets permanently.
Bill: But before, at school Tom always used to copy from me.
Tom: Yeah, that’s why my grades were so bad.
Now you’re touring through Europe: What is actually trhe difference between the fans in Oslo and Dijon?
Tom: There is none. I simply expect beautiful women everywhere.
And which country writes the hottest fan banners?
Georg: In the United States you’re not even allowed to say “f***”. In germany banners with slogans like “f*** me through the monsoon” are very popular.
And where in europe are the most blatant groupies?
Tom: Well one always valif rule is definitely that no matter if in Germany, USA or elsewhere: Noone gets flashy with Georg.(big laughter)
The compliment that all girls on this continent like to hear?
Tom, Oh, that whole compliment-thing is awful.
Do you sleep in one or two bed rooms in hotels?
Georg: Eacho of us has a double room for himself. We are on the way almost all the time. As much fun the time we spend together can be, we really don’t need to be together in the hotel rooms aswell.
But if you’re with someone: One big blanket ort wo smaller ones?
Bill: I always need my own blanket.
What do you do before going to bed?
Bill: Gustav sets his drumkit up and down, Georg does who-knows-what, Tommi tries to lay someone and I refresh my eyeliner.
How cool are you as a band, if you’re actually really wellbehaved, like you are?
Tom: Well, Georg, you have to say that to his apology, is well behaved involuntairily. He finally needs an opportunity not to be well-behaved.
One thing – apart from singing – that only works with men?
Tom: Being silent(meaning not saying anything).
Okay. Something that is only fun with women around?
Bill: Going to the cinema.
Tom: By now the things that I only did amongst guys before are even more fun with girls around, for example saying chavy lines about tourbusses. That makes awesome reactions. Some just prefer to act like they didn’t hear it and say something distracting. With some you can see that they are shocked, while they’r trying to act like that is all completely normal for them. But the funniest are those who really concider that normal and actl like they’re shoced, so you don’t label them so spolit. That’s just god-like(meaning totally hilarious).
Concert tours eariler have always benn accompanied by orgies, wild groupies drugs and alcohlo excesses. Today you only tour through some(random) cities, sing and fall into your bed exhaustedly. How sexy is a popstar nowdays?
Tom: Well, with the three other borers it is actually the way you describe it. And what nowday is still sexy, goes on with me.
Bill: Oh come on, do you mean those few girls, that I have to talk into going with you? You can certainly not talk about orgies.
When was the last time you destroyed a hotel suite?
Tom: That was quite a while ago. We’re even out of that age by now, but maybe we’ll repeat that, when we’re in our mid-life crisis.
Doing chambermaids?
Tom: the thought is intriguing, but thei clichee is so used, that it blocks you. Even when a hot chambermaid stands right in front of you. Maybe I’m afraid of clichees.
Are there things that you can use as drums, when there’s no drumkit around?
Georg: That is bad: Gustav drums on everything, that is not on a tree by three.(idiom)
What comes to your mind thinking about Europe?
Georg: Euro, warm food, beautiful girls...
Faveourite european President?
Georg: Merkel. (???? She’s not a president)
How does it feel being as famous as Kleenex, Pizza and Sneakers in every country?
Tom: Well, that I’m needed everywhere like Kleenex is nothing new. And the connection to pizza and sneakers is also not deniable talking about me.
Do you have power?
Bill: No idea, I think power is overrated. Why is everybody chasing power? Being powerless can be very freeing sometimes.(Uhm, Billy, being powerless is something good? Aren’t you the guy that said, I do what I wanr and noone can tell me whet to do? That, my dear is power.)
Political message of your tour?
Bill, Man, that would be ridiculous, if we’d say now that our tour has a political message.
Stupidest thing you’ve ever done or said on stage?
Bill: Once in nizza, I said “Hello, Nancy!”. That wasn’t cool at all.
24 Concerts in 37 days, what’s the best measure against throat diseases?
Bill: none of them work. It’s the best thing if you’ve been sick a few weeks before the tour already.
The stage sentence that you can say in every language?
All: Hello Paris! Hello Brussles! Hello Stockholm! Hello Oslo!
Chances that today in Paris Carla Bruni comes to your concert?
Tom: I don’t even know, if that’d be good. She just got married after all...
Georg: Oh come on, you don’t seriousl ythink that you stand a chance with er, forget it boy.
What is on your shopping list?
Tom: Well, Georg is the only one of us, who has time for shopping, and on the top of his list I’d write shower gel., but we don’t wanna continiue picking on that right now.
Most exciting stamp in your travel passes?
Bill: Oh, it’s not that exciting after all. More exciting for me was, when tom and I put the stamps of some parties on our hands ourselves, because we didn’t have the money to buy tickets. (Note: here, when you go to a disco or party, you get a stamp on your hand, instead of a ticket, so that’s what he’s talking about)
Are tax-avoiders worse people?
All: next question.
Where are your millions(money)?
All: Next.
Building savings contract?
Georg: Noo, electric Espresso-machine.
One geography question, because it was your favourite subject: Why is germany the most beautiful country?
Bill: Well, I don’t know, I simply love this country, I feel at home there. Even ion german hotels I somehow feel like being at home. Apart from that, in germany I have the possibility to sleep in my own bed at leat once in a while.

Paris!
The first Paris concert is happening as I type. Some quick info on the Bercy Theatre (location of the show):
Opened on February 3rd 1984
Max Capacity: (sports) 3,500 (concerts) 17,000
Architects were Michel Andrault, Pierre Parat, and Aydin Guvan
And to dispell the rumors, Bill didn't dye his hair blonde - he meerely got a much-needed haircut (just a good trim, really).

Bravo Interview: Talent AND Brains
Bill and Tom are finished with school and couldn't be happier!
Currently TH are conquering the USA! And despite the continious stress as rockstars Bill and Tom have(both by the way) got their Realschulabschluss(lover school degree… not enough for studying but you can learn jobs for which you don’t have to study)at a distance learning school. And that with great grades: five 2 and one 1! Exclusively in Bravo Bill and Tom talk about their experiences at school and show their reports…
Bravo: Congratulations! Are you happy to be done with school?
Bill: Oh yeah! We are really happy, that this chapter finally lies behind us. Tom and I immediately ripped all books and folders and burnt them…
Bravo: How did you manage to get good grades despite the stress?
Tom: At first: it was horrible for us!
Bill: We also didn’t believe in it. Often we were close to saying: screw it! School wasn’t obligatory for us anymore, when we turned 18 we could’ve stopped. But we are perfectionists and didn’t wat to leave it untried. So we slept even less and worked even more.
Tom: In the week before the final exam we were studying twelve hours a day – for seven days!
Bill: And in that week Georg and Gustav had free time, completely. FREE TIME! We don’t know that word.
Bravo: You were at a distance learning school. How did that work?
Bill: The materials were sent to our house. We had to work through it and the send it back.
Tom: We could arrange the time freely – that was good. But we had to return it handwritten. Cheating was not possible because of that…
Bravo: Also not at the final exams?
Bill: Noo! Tom and I were sitting in our room with the examiner. He could stare at our sheets the whole time…
Tom: Apart from that, we were sitting too far apart, to copy. When we had been going to normal school, we always did that. We shared the learning parts.
Bravo: Both of you are afraid of exams, right?
Bill: A lot! We could barely sleep the whole week before it. Tom and I were so excited/nervous! We had been studying until late at night and woke up at 6 in the morning again.
Tom: I always feel sick before exams, as if I had to puke. Luckily that has never happened.
Bravo: Were you afraid a bit, that the teachers could be mean to you, because you are the boys from TH?
Bill: Sure. We didn’t know if they had prejudices and thought things like: Those stars think they’ll get their degree as a present.
Tom: But we had to take the same exam as all other students and couldn’t cheat. Maybe they read our tests twice, just in case!
Bravo: Before you’ve always had trouble with the teachers. What was it like now?
Bill: This time the teachers were nice to us.
Tom: But I don’t like teachers in general. We saw ours only very seldomly. But if we had seen them daily, we sure would have had trouble with them.
Bravo: Which subjects did you like the most?
Tom: (laughs loudly) All were horrible! Those were the worst weeks in our lives
Bravo: Does that mean, no more school, ever?
Tom: Let’s say: Biology will still be present in my life!
Bill: The band stands in the first place now. But we made this degree, so we know we can still make our Abitur!
Tom: But we’re not planning that in the close future.
Bravo: Why are your grades actually exactly the same?
Bill: That is the twins-thing again. We laughed when we saw that.
Bravo: What’s next?
Bill: Our European tour starts now, with a completely new stage. After that we’re going to the USA. We only have one day off in between…

Rotterdam & Alloy
The Rotterdam show started two hours ago. I hope everyone is having a blast!
And here's the new TH Alloy blog!
Hi everyone, it’s Bill today.
We just got back from our amazing trip to Canada and the States. We left NY last Wednesday, the day after our second show. I still can’t believe how amazing this trip went and how great you guys have been. We didn’t expect that kind of support at all. You ROCK!
In the evening, after another hour of endless delays, we took off to go home. The other three guys were supposed to travel back to the studio in Hamburg to start rehearsals while I had to do another job in Berlin. So we split up after we arrived in Frankfurt. And as usual it seems, the flight to Hamburg got canceled -- again. (I really wonder what’s going on with our travelling -- every flight we took this trip was either delayed or canceled.) Anyway, as always, I had to work while the boys got some time off! ;) So I went to Berlin for the photo shoot on Friday. Tom, Gustav and Georg will have to start the tour rehearsals on Monday. I don’t since I know pretty much everything already. I’ll join the rehearsals when they are ready. So I guess this time we’re even! ;)
Oh boy, we are all very excited for the kick off of our third European Tour on March 3rd. We’ll take you guys with us on our journey -- so stay tuned!
By the way, thanks for all your comments here on alloy.com…
I’ll talk to you soon!

1000 Hotels Tour in full swing!
Tonight was the first show on the 1000 Hotels Tour. TH kicked it off in Brussels to a sold-out crowd. Here's the set list from the night (from the Dutch Street Team):
- Break Away
- Final Day
- 1000 Oceans
- Live Every Second
- Love Is Dead
- Sacred
- Scream
- Black
- On The Edge
- Ready, Set, Go
- Reden
- Wir Sterben Niemals Aus
- Don't Jump
- Geh
- Ich Bin Nich' Ich
- Raise Your Hands
- Monsoon
- In Die Nacht
- Rescue Me
- Forgotten Children
- By Your Side
Speculation is that TH performed their English songs in order to promote their "Scream" album (and because they already had a Zimmer 483 tour back in 2007).

TH CosmoGirl! Q&A
Guess who referred to Tokio Hotel as "their fave rockers?" CosmoGirl! =] Here's the interview from there website with the boys.

Formerly the group Devilish, Bill, Tom, Gustav, and Georg now make up Tokio Hotel — and the uber-cuties from Germany are taking the U.S. by storm! I caught up with them at their recent New York City show at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza (a venue where most rock legends have performed), where the line to get in was hundreds deep and, according to one fan, people were waiting for hours to get a spot in front of the stage.
Hey, guys! It must be really exciting to perform in New York. Do you love the city?
Bill and Georg:Very! Yeah, we like it, but we love L.A. too, with the warm weather, sunshine, and big houses.
What’s the difference between your European fan base and your U.S. one?
Bill:We were really surprised when we came to North America because we expected it to be different than in Germany. We expected people to be calm, laid-back, and checking us out from a distance. But as soon as we got onstage here, everyone got really excited and started to yell and scream the way we were used to from home. We were really surprised. Having fans like that gives us a lot of power and energy when we’re onstage. We love it! It was such a shock that our shows here are selling out. It’s more than we ever expected.
That’s pretty amazing to be selling out shows here in the U.S. on your first North American tour.
Bill:Yeah. We’re so excited.
So tell me, who were your musical influences?
Bill:We couldn’t find a single common influence.
Tom:I influenced them all.
Bill, Gustav, Georg:Ha!
Bill:We listen to so many different kinds of music. Tom only listens to German hip-hop, but I listen to a lot of rock, so we couldn’t really agree on one band that influenced us. Everyone brought his own style to the group, even if Georg doesn’t have any style [rest of band laughs]. What we created with Tokio Hotel was just our common ground of liking a variety of bands. We wanted that to influence our music.
How’d you get the name?
Bill:[Band laughs simultaneously]The reason everyone laughed is because now you’re getting into the dark past. We used to go by a different name – Devilish, but that was all Bill’s idea. To tell you the truth, Devilish didn’t have any meaning. We tried to remember why we chose that name, but couldn’t. When we started to get deals with record companies, we thought it was time to find a name that fits and one we all liked. We love New York and L.A. because they’re really big cities, and we chose Tokio [the German spelling of Tokyo] because it’s a wicked place. Then we wanted to find a symbol that represented our lives, and we came up with Hotel because we’re living out of hotels these days. Our lives are packed in our suitcases and we always carry them behind us.
How would you describe your personal style?
Gustav:Well, we’ve got a womanizer, a comedian, a bodyguard… [the whole band starts to laugh]. Actually, no, we’re not about rules – we didn’t want to create one image.
Bill:Yeah, if we had to do that, Georg wouldn’t even be here today [band laughs]. We’re not about playing any characters — we’re just us, just being ourselves. What you see is what you get. If you look at old pictures of us from when we were called Devilish, you will see how everyone started to find his own style. That’s what we’re about.
What would your advice be to anyone who wanted to get a start in music?
Bill:We hate to be in the position of telling people what to do because when we started, people who were older and had been in the business a while would tell us how we should act and what we should do, and we didn’t like that. Everyone has to make their own decisions and go through their own experience – find out for yourself. Everyone has to find their way. The only thing I would say is that it’s important to play live, go onstage, and have fun because that’s what it’s all about. And it’s important to make mistakes. That’s what we did and still do. Georg is still making 10 to 15 mistakes every day [band laughs]. Just do your thing!
What’s your favorite thing to do online?
Tom:[laughing] I’m not sure you want to know! Actually, I basically check e-mail and watch videos.
Georg:Yeah, I watch videos. I just watched Scream.
Gustav:I just watch a video where the filmmakers raced an Audi against a BMW. The BMW won.
Tom:Ready, Set, Go video. Check it out!
